Watch Repair

Modern Mechanical Watch Service

Our definition of a modern watch is a watch manufactured circa 1980 up to the present. We are rather hesitant to accept many modern watches for repair becuase the Swiss watch industry has, since about 2002, restricted access to repair parts for independent watchmakers. If your watch requires a part that we cannot obtain, then we cannot repair the watch. For a list of brands the have restrictive parts policies, click here.

So far the restrictive policies do not affect the Japanese brands; we are still able, in most instnces, to repair Seiko and Citizen brand watches.

Of the more popular brands, for example Rolex, we are often able to bypass the manufacturer restrictions by sourcing generic parts. If you have no objection to the use of generic parts, then it is likely we can perform the repair. There are of course instances where no suitable generic part is available.

As a general rule, if you contact us with an e-mail decribing what you have, we are happy to discuss the possibility of repair.

Pricing shown here is for the basic service as described on the Services page and does not include return delivery. Please read the note at the bottom of the price list.

Damaged or worn parts necessary to complete the service are additional. A firm quote will be sent to you via e-mail for your approval before any work is performed.
